Editorial photography

An add-on to any package

Residential

Editorial photos are lit with flash, composed and styled room by room, and finished by hand. They take more time to make than HDR photos, and they look closer to a magazine than a typical listing. Add them to any package.

What changes

  1. 01

    True color

Flash keeps white walls and cabinets white, without the warm or gray cast a blended HDR photo can leave.

  2. 02

    Windows that hold the view

The windows are exposed on their own, so the view outside stays as clear as the room inside.

  3. 03

    Depth and contrast

Light is shaped room by room, so furniture, ceilings and finishes keep their depth instead of looking flat.

  4. 04

    Composed and styled

Each frame is set up like a magazine shot, with straight verticals and the room styled before we shoot.

Questions about editorial photos

How is editorial different from HDR?

HDR blends several exposures of each room into one photo, quickly and consistently. Editorial photos are lit with flash and finished by hand, which keeps color true, windows clear and rooms full of depth. HDR suits most listings; editorial is for the ones where the photos carry the marketing.

Can I add editorial photos to any package?

Yes. Editorial photos can be added to Spotlight, Professional or Luxury, for a few key rooms or for the whole home. They are part of the proposed Estate package.

Does an editorial shoot take longer?

Yes. Each room is lit and composed by hand, so an editorial shoot needs more time on site than an HDR shoot. We confirm the schedule when you book.

How do I book editorial photos?

Ask for editorial photos when you book, or contact us first and we will add them to your package.
