Homes in Newport Beach
On the harbor, many homes have a private dock or slip, and the water side often matters most. Balboa Island and the Peninsula have narrow lots, alleys and homes built close together. Lido Isle, Linda Isle and Harbor Island have larger bayfront homes, some behind gates. We photograph from the dock and the water’s edge, show the boat and the harbor from inside, and use the drone to place the home on the bay.
Away from the water, Newport Heights and Cliff Haven have family homes, some with harbor or ocean views, and Dover Shores sits on the Back Bay. Big Canyon has large homes around a private golf course behind a gate, and Newport Coast has newer homes on hillside lots with wide ocean views. Planning a shoot in Newport Beach
Back Bay and John Wayne Airport
Most of Newport Beach sits in controlled airspace around John Wayne Airport, just north of the city, and homes near the Back Bay are closest to it. The FAA sets a height limit for drones across that airspace, and it is lowest near the Back Bay. We look up every address, request FAA authorization ahead of the flight and warn you early if the drone is limited there.
Docks, boats and tides
For a bayfront home, the dock and the slip are part of the listing. We plan dock photos and the drone flight for calm water and, where it makes a difference, a higher tide, and ask that boats be tidied or moved if they block the view.
Summer on the islands and the Peninsula
Balboa Island and the Peninsula are crowded in summer, and parking near the beach and the ferry is scarce. Tell us if there is a garage off the alley we can use, and we will time the exteriors for a quieter hour.

Questions about shoots in Newport Beach
Is a Newport Beach listing booked the same way as one in San Diego County?
Almost. You use the same booking portal but select the Orange County option, because Orange County homes are priced on their own. After that, choosing a package and a date works the same way.
Can you photograph the home from the water side?
We photograph the water side from the dock, the beach or the seawall, and the drone gives a view from over the harbor. If you want photos taken from a boat, tell us before the shoot so we can plan for it.
How do we get you through the gates at Pelican Hill or Crystal Cove?
Put us on the visitor list with the guard before the shoot day. Ask the HOA too about any rules for photographing common areas or flying a drone.
