Real estate photography in Oceanside

San Diego County

Oceanside is the northernmost city on the San Diego County coast, with the pier, the harbor and the Strand on its waterfront and Camp Pendleton to the north. Inland, it rises through Fire Mountain and Loma Alta to newer neighborhoods in the east and the farms and view lots of Morro Hills above the San Luis Rey River.

Homes in Oceanside

Near the beach, there are older cottages, duplexes, townhomes and condos close to the pier and downtown, and the gated beach colony of St. Malo by Buena Vista Lagoon. These listings sell on location. We photograph the ocean from inside wherever there is a view, and drone photos show the distance to the sand, the pier or the harbor. Some buyers want a second home or a rental, so patios, parking and outdoor showers deserve photos too.

Away from the water, Fire Mountain, Loma Alta and the streets around Mission San Luis Rey have established single-family homes. Newer neighborhoods spread east toward Rancho del Oro and Ocean Hills, an age-restricted gated community. In Morro Hills, properties sit on larger lots with groves, barns and long views over the valley, and the drone does much of the work of showing the land.

Planning a shoot in Oceanside

  1. Camp Pendleton next door

Oceanside borders Camp Pendleton to the north, and drones may not fly over the base at all. The airspace around the base’s airfield also covers much of north Oceanside along North River Road, and Palomar Airport’s airspace covers the southeast corner, including Ocean Hills. Before any drone flight, we check the address against the FAA airspace map and request the authorization the flight needs.

  2. Parking by the beach

Street parking around the pier, the Strand and South O fills quickly on summer weekends and during downtown events. Tell us about any garage or driveway space we can use, which also keeps our car out of the exterior photos.

  3. Land in Morro Hills

Properties in Morro Hills often include groves, outbuildings and a long private drive. Tell us roughly where the property lines run and which buildings are part of the sale, and we plan drone photos that show the whole parcel and the view across the valley.

Questions about shoots in Oceanside

What do buyers in Ocean Hills Country Club want to see?

The clubhouse, the pool and the other shared amenities, along with the home itself, so we photograph those where the HOA allows it. Ocean Hills is gated, so add us to the guest list before the shoot day. It also sits inside Palomar Airport’s airspace, where the FAA map allows automatic drone approval only up to 50 or 100 feet, so higher views need a request at least 72 hours ahead.

Can the photos show the pier or the harbor?

When the home is close enough, yes. Once the airspace check clears the flight, a drone photo above the home can frame it with the pier, the harbor or the river mouth behind it. Inside, we photograph the rooms that look toward the water.

How far ahead should I book an Oceanside shoot?

Give us at least 48 hours if you can, and pick the package and the time yourself in the booking portal. For a shoot on shorter notice, call 760-585-9999 and we will tell you what is open.
